MCRS, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has begun a major system upgrade for UK-based Whitbread Restaurants, a division of Whitbread Group PLC. All of Whitbread's Beefeater, Brewers Fayre and Brewsters restaurants will begin upgrading their existing MICROS 2700 restaurant management systems to MICROS Restaurant Enterprise Series (RES) 3000 version 3.2, with total rollout expected to conclude in November 2003.
