MICROS Signs Five-Year Agreement With IHOP to Install Restaurant Enterprise System 3000 in All New Locations
COLUMBIA, Md., MICROS Systems, Inc. MCRS, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has signed a five-year agreement with IHOP Corp. to install the MICROS Restaurant Enterprise System (RES) 3000 in all new IHOP locations and in existing franchisee locations at the option of the franchisees. There are currently over 1,000 IHOP restaurants located throughout the United States and Canada.

MICROS Reports Strong Fiscal 2002 Third Quarter Revenue and Earnings, Announces Stock Buyback
COLUMBIA, Md., MICROS Systems, Inc. MCRS, a leading supplier of information systems to the hospitality industry, today announced the results for its fiscal 2002 third quarter ended March 31, 2002. Revenue for the quarter was $92.4 million, an increase of $10.8 million, or 13.2%, over the same period last year. Net income for the quarter was $3.7 million, an increase of $3.6 million over the year ago third quarter net income of $0.1 million. Earnings per share, on a diluted basis, were $0.21 per share, an increase of $0.21 per share over the year ago breakeven earnings per share.
