The Aladdin Resort & Casino Selects SynXis Agent® To Increase GDS Functionality And Web Site Bookings
Ease of Use, Cost Savings Prompts Las Vegas Casino to Switch to SynXis
17 April 2002

MCLEAN, VA -- SynXis Corporation, a leading provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, today announced that The Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas has implemented the SynXis GDS/IDS Connectivity and Book-A-Rez® (their web-site booking engine) in order to increase productivity and reduce costs.

The 2,600-room Aladdin Resort & Casino has become a popular spot on the Las Vegas strip since its opening in August 2000. It boasts more restaurants, shops, entertainment and casinos than any other destination in Las Vegas. Rooms at The Aladdin can now be booked under the YX chain code by over 400,000 travel agents.

"We chose SynXis Agent® because their system provides better functionality and connectivity than our old system," said Michael Ford, reservations manager for The Aladdin Resort & Casino. "After only one week on the new system, we couldn't be happier. SynXis Agent's rate calendar is very easy to use. I can immediately update our rates and availability, which is critical considering the quickly changing Las Vegas market. I can also look at our production on a real-time basis using SynXis Agent's simple reporting tools."

SynXis brings a full range of services to help increase hotel bookings. From an easy-to-use control center, the hotel can update availability and rate information immediately on four distinct distribution channels: travel agents, third-party Internet travel sites, the hotel's direct Web sites, and central reservations systems.

"We are delighted to hear how easy the Aladdin has found it to manage its complex rate strategies using SynXis Agent," said Bernard Ellis, vice president of global sales and product strategy at SynXis. "Especially in a high-volume market like Las Vegas, our streamlined channel management has proven to have a major impact on the productivity of electronic distribution. We look forward to bringing similar results to the Aladdin."
