Langley and Minneapolis, Minnesota -- IDeaS, the leading provider of hospitality revenue optimization solutions and one of the industry’s fastest growing technology companies today announced the successful development and implementation of a Web Services interface between Voyager Central Reservation System (CRS) and IDeaS’ revenue management solution. The Voyager Central Reservation System is a product of TRUST.WIZCOM, a subsidiary of Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), a global provider of technology and distribution solutions for the hospitality and leisure industry. This collaboration is an important step for the hotel industry as it represents one of the first interfaces created using Online TravelAlliance (OTA) standards, and in close collaboration with Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) efforts for common implementation of those standards. IDeaS and TRUST.WIZCOM have a number of common clients who will experience the convenience of having IDeaS pricing and revenue information automatically sent to the Voyager CRS. “We have seen significant interest from many of our hotels for the introduction of this interface,” said Linda Hatfield, Vice President of Product Management for IDeaS. “We are delighted to have worked with TRUST.WIZCOM to deliver one of the first interfaces using the new OTA and HTNG standards. This solution will remove the manual work previously required to constantly enter and update restrictions, and at the same time provide better demand optimization and rate parity to the hotels.” “Delivering this capability for our clients has been a high priority,” said Richard Wiegmann, COO of TRUST.WIZCOM “We have been working closely with IDeaS for some time now, both on the development of this interface and the successful implementation with our customers.” “IDeaS and Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TRUST.WIZCOM’s parent company) were both founding members of the HTNG organization and have made critical contributions to our Property Distribution Workgroup,” said Douglas C. Rice, Executive Director of HTNG. “Through this group we are completing a common, multi-vendor implementation of OTA standards that will make the hospitality marketplace a friendlier place for our hotel users. The IDeaS-Voyager CRS integration should provide immediate business benefit for users of the two systems, but it is also an important first step towards an industry where open integration will be commonplace.”
