Watson comes to IDeaS with extensive experience in the hospitality high-tech industry. Having spent many years in the hotel PMS business, he subsequently moved into Internet distribution with WorldRes where he focused on its European market development.

“Based on our significant momentum throughout Europe, and specifically in the UK, we have been very focused on creating a new position designed specifically for a senior sales executive with both regional experience and in-depth industry experience,” said Uli Pillau, IDeaS’ Managing Director EAME. “Keith’s industry knowledge of hotel software applications, the result of his successful tenures at Hotel Information Systems and Ramesys, combined with his in-depth knowledge of Internet distribution made him the ideal candidate to assist us in moving to the next level.”

Mr. Watson joins IDeaS following a successful tenure at WorldRes Europe Ltd. where he was most recently European Business Development Manager. During his time there, Keith was initially responsible for UK demand generating partners and lately started the XML rollout allowing much closer integration between hotelier and travel web sites. During his tenure WorldRes UK booking revenues grew at around 30% per annum. Prior to joining WorldRes, Keith spent 2 years working on an ASP based PMS at Ramesys Hospitality, London .

IDeaS has a large list of UK-based clients. Over 20 major London properties currently use the IDeaS product suite including the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, One Aldwych, Carlton Tower, the InterContinental London, the Langham, the Sanderson, several London-based Hiltons, and various Millennium hotels in the area. Throughout the United Kingdom, IDeaS services over 300 properties including the Travelodge UK estate, various Hilton Nationals, and the famous Gleneagles in Scotland.
