In addition to Uli Pillau, Managing Director EAME and Fabian Specht, Director, Business Development & Distribution EAME, Mayer will join the team in Munich, IDeaS' European branch office. Mayer's responsibilities include sales into individual hotels and major chain accounts; developing and maintaining relationships with clients throughout the EAME region and assisting in marketing and public relations activities. Mayer studied at the HOSTA Hotel & Tourism School in Leysin, Switzerland and then joined Hyatt International as corporate trainee in Cologne, Germany, and Dubai, UAE. Mayer was promoted to catering sales manager in May 1992, also at the Hyatt Regency Dubai. In April 1994, she became manager of the Hyatt Regency Cologne until October 1996. Mayer then relocated to Duesseldorf, Germany, where she completed four years in charge of public relations and marketing services for the third largest European voluntary hotel chain, TOP International Hotels, which has offices in Zurich, Milan, Prague and Beirut.
