Outrigger Hotels & Resort to Automate 24 Properties with Newmarket's Delphi Multi-Property Edition
Availability of live e-Learning via Virtual Classroom a major factor in selecting Newmarket's thin-client enterprise solution for its properties across the Pacific

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. / Nov. 8, 2000-- Newmarket International, Inc. announced today that Honolulu-based Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is automating its 24 properties with Delphi Multi-Property Edition (Delphi MPE), Newmarket's thin-client enterprise application for multiple properties sold in one system.

Outrigger will install Delphi MPE at its corporate headquarters in Honolulu, enabling its sales force to direct-book across an inventory of over 8,000 guestrooms spread across the Pacific Ocean. Installation and training are scheduled to take place the fourth quarter of 2000. Over 150 total users in locations across the Pacific will access the Delphi MPE system.

Outrigger also purchased 100 user licenses for , Newmarket's Internet service that routes electronic Requests for Proposals (e-RFP) from member sites such as AllMeetings.com, PlanSoft, and StarCite directly into automated sales solutions.

A key factor in the decision to install Delphi MPE, which followed a lengthy evaluation of various sales automation systems, was Newmarket's ability to expedite rollout and reduce training costs through its e-Business solutions such as Virtual Classroom, which facilitates live, collaborative e-Learning among students, regardless of location.

"Because of our exotic locations and the sheer number of rooms we sell, we needed a system that leverages the Internet," said Joe Durocher, Sr. VP and CIO Outrigger Enterprises. "Being able to train our staff simultaneously via the Web enables us to profit from the technology more quickly, while saving thousands in travel and related expenses for trainers."

Delphi MPE provides all salespeople in the Outrigger enterprise with single-image inventory and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage every aspect of their sales effort from transient to volume sales. Full Internet access to the system for remote, mobile and distributed users empowers the sales force to sell into any property in the group with real-time information pulled from a single database.
