Newmarket will use the capital to augment and accelerate the development and delivery of its new line of Web-enabled solutions, including its netDelphi 2000 Series, unveiled at the HITEC tradeshow in June, said Newmarket President Steve Giblin.

"Ongoing research and development is a key factor in our ability to provide customers with cost-effective, profit-making solutions," Giblin said. "With netDelphi already implemented, this new investment further strengthens our ability to deliver leading-edge applications and services via the Web that can be customized to meet the specific needs of any operation."

The netDelphi 2000 Series provides a complete automation solution, including applications, training, support, and services delivered over the Internet, according to Newmarket's Chief Technology Officer, Charles Hoppensteadt.

"Just as our service is channeling the entire RFP process between meeting planners and hotels to the Internet, our ASP solution, netDelphi gives hotels the means to shift operations to the Web, and significantly reduce overhead associated with existing IT infrastructures," Hoppensteadt said.
