Newmarket International, Inc, which has pioneered the major advances in hospitality Sales, Marketing and Event Management software, announced today on the eve of the industry's premier technology trade show (HITEC), a new line of solutions that delivers automation and all related services via the Internet.
The new line, called the netDelphi 2000 Series, is designed to increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of hospitality automation by delivering full Delphi functionality and services such as training and support over the Internet. The netDelphi solution gives hospitality professionals the instant ability to run their systems from anywhere in the world. The system provides validated users with direct access from any Internet point of presence. Users can access data through multiple views depending on their function, need and security profile as well as integrate directly with Newmarket's new line of mobile solutions accessed via a PDA (personal digital assistant) such as a Pocket PC or Palm Pilot. netDelphi's Business Intelligence module stores data for all properties, in a management group, centrally. Enterprise-wide data is directly available, performance data is up-to-date providing instantaneous decision making capabilities. Mobile and remote users have direct access to real-time mission-critical information through the Internet. "The Internet is transforming hospitality, and Newmarket is proud to be leading our industry in Sales, Marketing, Group Room, and Event Management onto this technological frontier," said Newmarket President and CEO Steve Giblin. "For large enterprises, netDelphi will instantly bring automation to any property in the world. This technology also enables companies large and small to reduce or in some cases eliminate the hardware infrastructure and required systems expertise at the property level. The implications are huge: netDelphi will bring small and mid-market properties on-line, and enable larger corporations to run their operations more efficiently and competitively." The netDelphi 2000 series is supplemented by a host of Internet-based technologies including training delivered over the Internet. "A major cost of implementation as well as ongoing cost of ownership is the travel and associated expenses of training staff. Our customers have clearly challenged us to reduce the cost of implementation and ongoing training. We have responded and cut out the travel and associated expenses piece by providing high quality Virtual Classroom training over the internet." said Director of Operations for Newmarket International, Patti Hoppensteadt. Newmarket is offering netDelphi 2000 in an application service provider (ASP) environment, allowing subscribing users to access the system over the Internet, without the need to deploy any on-site hardware or software infrastructure. "Once we go to general release of Version 1 in Q4 of this year, Hotels and Conference Centers can make the decision to deploy our solution and have immediate access to training over the Internet. The activation of their system can be done by our staff in a matter of hours. The whole deployment, implementation and hardware infrastructure headache has been virtually taken out of the equation." said Newmarket CTO, Charles Hoppensteadt. "The implications for reductions in cost are enormous." The netDelphi 2000 series along with all the abovementioned products will be show cased at Booth 619 at HITEC. Newmarket International (
