Newmarket's Delphi Multi-Property Edition to Be Foundation of Loews Hotels e-Commerce Sales Strategy
Newmarket's multi-property solution for hotel clusters will enable 372 concurrent users to direct-book any room in Loews system with real-time information from a single database

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Newmarket International, Inc. announced today that Loews Hotels has signed an agreement to standardize its group sales processes with Delphi Multi-Property Edition (Delphi MPE), Newmarket's thin-client sales automation program engineered for hotel cluster and regional sales offices. Loews will link three regional sales offices and its 15 North American hotels and resorts to Delphi MPE, which will be installed at Loews Hotels' corporate headquarters in New York City. Delphi MPE will enable the corporation's entire sales force to cross-sell each property and direct-book into any guest- or function room in the system with real-time information from a single database.

Delphi MPE is powered by a Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 database and features thin-client Internet access. Launched in November 1999, it is among the first products built to integrate with , Newmarket's new Web service that instantly transmits leads from e-RFP sites such as Hot Dates Hot Rates and PlanIt Online. These leads are deposited directly into Delphi MPE and other Newmarket applications. enables properties to immediately evaluate and accept a piece of business, merge a proposal, and email it back to the meeting planner in a matter of minutes.
