PORTSMOUTH, N.H -- Newmarket International today announced recent deals and installations achieved by its London-based Europe-Africa-Middle East (EAME) division. The division completed 70 installations in 1999, increased revenues by 400 percent, and doubled in size.
EAME Managing Director Dan Hiza announced that Delphi 7.2, Newmarket's premier property-level sales automation system powered by Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, is now installed at the Four Seasons Cairo, the Four Seasons Dublin, and the Four Seasons Canary Wharf, located in London's financial district. The Dublin and Cairo sites, both five-star properties, will open early in 2000. Also installing Delphi 7.2 is the Hotel de France on England's Isle of Jersey, the recently refurbished Cumberland Hotel and the Royal Lancaster (both located in central London), and Le Meridien Nice. All of these premier conference hotels have opted to standardize sales processes on the Delphi 7.2 system. A spokesman for the Cumberland, a Forte hotel, said they chose Delphi after a lengthy evaluation of major sales and catering packages, because of Delphi's ease of use and superior functionality, and because of Newmarket's growing support organization in Europe. Delphi 7.2 was released ahead of schedule in November 1999 along with Newmarket's 7.2 line, which includes Delphi Multi-Property Edition and Global SFA (Sales Force Automation). A key feature of the new Delphi is that it can be linked to a Global SFA 7.2 database, enabling hotels to distribute data to all properties in a global network. Dyan Stone joins the EAME office as corporate sales director on January 1, 2000. Stone joins Newmarket from the Hilton Group and Stakis Hotels and has over 15 years of hotel sales and conferencing yield experience.
