Newmarket International to Automate Del Lago Golf Resort & Conference Center with Delphi 7.2
After evaluating leading sales and catering systems--and getting a sneak peak at MeetingBroker.com--one of America's largest all-suite conference centers expands relationship with Newmarket

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. / Nov. 22, 1999-- Newmarket International, Inc. today announced that the Del Lago Golf Resort & Conference Center will install Delphi 7.2 to automate group sales, catering, and event management at its 386-room resort located in Montgomery, Texas.

"We live or die on our ability to book and successfully facilitate group business," said Lawrence Barbir, Del Lago's Executive Director. "We felt that Newmarket has the drive and the resources to continue to provide leading-edge technologies."

As an example, Barbir noted that 's Web-based service that directs a hotel's lead distribution to the Internet--has the potential to add as many as 10,000 additional room nights a year to Del Lago's business plan, starting in 2001."

"Our partnership with Del Lago has been great, and their input has already added value to Newmarket's products," said Newmarket President Steve Giblin. "We have already implemented some of Mr. Barbir's suggestions, including a Web cam to help personalize customer support, and Del Lago is going to work with us to develop package plan functionality for our future conference products."

Among the largest conference resorts in the world, Del Lago boasts 302 guest suites, 8 penthouses, 58 golf cottages, and 18 lakefront villas. Meeting facilities include 24 private conference rooms. Del Lago is situated on beautiful Lake Conroe, about 45 minutes north of Houston.

Delphi 7.2 is the property-level solution in Newmarket's 7.2 line--released ahead of schedule on November 1--and is powered by a Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 database. New features include the ability to launch from the application directly to an account's Internet home page, and an enhanced Account Summary screen that tracks revenue booked through travel agencies.
