PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (November 8, 1999) -- Newmarket International, Inc. today announced the general release of its 7.2 line of hospitality sales automation
The 7.2 line is Newmarket's innovative response to the growing demands of customers for web-enabled applications that scale to meet the needs of any hospitality operation-from independent properties to the corporate enterprise. The new Windows-based products-all built on customer feedback-integrate the speed and power of Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 with Newmarket's leading-edge designs. "We know Delphi Multi-Property Edition and Global SFA are the future of hospitality sales automation," said Newmarket President Steve Giblin. "These solutions make hotel salespeople 10 to 15 times more productive, and customer response during the beta period was overwhelming. The 7.2 line increases sales, enhances customer relationship management, and makes any operation five times as efficient. And when hotels integrate our Internet products such as Delphi Multi-Property Edition (Delphi MPE) Delphi MPE, a new product, is Newmarket's thin-client solution for hotel clusters and regional sales offices. The application stores and makes available-in real-time-the complete guest- and function room inventory for an entire region or cluster to each salesperson, from a single database. The multi-property GRC and function diary enable salespeople to direct book to every available room in the system. Delphi MPE gives customers a convenient, single point of contact, so they receive answers the first time they call. Salespeople can instantly evaluate a piece of business, determine its most profitable fit, create a booking, and send proposals back to the customer in minutes. Global SFA 7.2 Global SFA unifies a hotel corporation's sales automation infrastructure and reshapes it for national and global sales. The application automatically routes leads and account information across an enterprise network that now can include individual properties as well as regional and national sales offices. A corporation's entire sales database is distributed to each appended sales office or linked property through advanced replication technologies. This functionality is currently in controlled release. Global SFA also facilitates immediate follow-up on leads and provides a wealth of reports that track performance and trends at the corporate level, enhancing operations from the top down. Global SFA centralizes network maintenance around a single data center, reducing overhead. Delphi and Breeze 7.2 For 14 years, Delphi has set the industry standard for property-level sales and catering systems, with unparalleled tools for account and yield management, BEO creation, and reporting. Delphi 7.2 now enables users to launch directly into an account's Internet site and has an enhanced Account Summary screen which tracks revenue from business booked through travel agencies. Another new feature is performance updates, which now run each day, automatically. Breeze, which has the core functionality of Delphi with the ability to add modules as business needs grow, now includes an enhanced section on meeting profiles. Breeze is growing in popularity as the ideal solution for boutique hotels, specialized properties, and businesses such as cruise lines and conference centers.
