Wyndham International installs Newmarket's sales automation solution, which distributes leads and account information across global networks
13 October 1999

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. / Oct. 13, 1999-- Newmarket International, Inc. today announced that Wyndham International, Inc. has installed Newmarket's Global SFA 7.2 (Sales Force Automation) at a specially created data center located at Wyndham's corporate headquarters in Dallas. Wyndham will use Global SFA to unite its five national sales offices, located in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington D.C.

Approximately 48 salespeople and administrators will access Global SFA initially. Global SFA 7.2 uses a Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 database to automatically route leads and account information across global networks. The application facilitates immediate follow-up on group sales leads, and centralizes both network administration and reporting processes around a single global sales database.

"In our industry, the customer is everything, and we look to Newmarket's Global SFA to help us better serve customers by giving our sales team the tool to facilitate instant follow-up on all customer requests," said Don Welsh, senior vice president of sales for Wyndham. "We feel Global SFA will also add a strong focus to our customer-driven global sales efforts."

Global SFA 7.2 employs Microsoft's Component Object Modeling (COM) architecture, and utilizes MTS (Microsoft Transaction Server) as well as advanced replication functionality. The application serves as the top, unifying layer of a corporation's enterprisewide sales automation solution.

Global SFA 7.2 will be launched in November with the rest of Newmarket's 7.2 product line, all of which employs MS SQL Server 7.0, and includes Delphi Multi-Property Edition and Delphi 7.2.

Wyndham will have the opportunity to link the Delphi 7.2 systems installed at individual properties to the Global SFA database.
