PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Starwood enthusiastic about cross selling and data management capabilities of Newmarket's Windows-based solution designed for multiple hotel complexes.
Newmarket International, Inc. announced today that Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has signed an agreement to be a beta partner for Delphi Multi-Property Edition, Newmarket's Windows-based group sales management application designed for cross property sales. Starwood will install Delphi MPE for multi-property complexes in Houston and Washington, DC this summer, and will add Chicago, New York, and San Diego by years' end. According to Roberta Rinker-Ludloff, Starwood's Vice President of Global Sales, Starwood may add as many as 15 complexes in the next two years. "As Starwood broadens its global presence, we need solutions that help our sales force book business across many properties and brands," said Rinker-Ludloff. "We look to Delphi MPE to help us serve more customers, faster, the first time they call." Delphi MPE uses a Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 database to provide up-to-the-second availability and full property detail onscreen for every property in a multiple hotel scenario, whether a cluster or regional sales office. The program features multi-property Guest Rooms Control (GRC) log and Function Diary, cross property reporting capabilities, and the full modular functionality of Delphi for Windows, Newmarket's core sales and catering application.
