PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- Tourism Toronto, the Convention & Visitors Bureau of Windsor, and Edmonton's Shaw Conference Centre install Newmarket's Windows-based sales, marketing, and event management software. Newmarket International, Inc., which has installed its sales and catering software solutions at over 300 hotel properties in Canada, announced today the automation of destination sales organizations in three key Canadian cities. Tourism Toronto, which promotes business and leisure travel to Canada's largest city, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Windsor, located near Detroit, recently installed CVBreeze, Newmarket's Windows-based application that completely integrates all departments, automates day-to-day tasks, and enhances communication at a CVB. The Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta has installed CCBreeze, an application engineered for convention centers, with modules that streamline all phases of convention sales and event management. The ability to create links to hotel properties and other organizations is a function the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Windsor plans to capitalize on. "Our counterparts in Detroit have CVBreeze and we coordinate a lot of business with them," said Windsor CVB President Elizabeth Hamel. "We finally have a database system that meets our sales and marketing needs." The Shaw Conference Centre has 82,000 square feet of exhibition space and 23 meeting rooms, and is a major convention facility within walking distance of seven downtown hotels. "Our project team conducted an extensive search and evaluation of available software products and had no hesitation in recommending CCBreeze. It was simply the most advanced and capable package," said Mike Fitzpatrick, the Centre's General Manager. "In every way, CCBreeze met or exceeded our functional requirements and the suppliers' specifications." Tourism Toronto is the official tourism sales and marketing agency for the Toronto region. They are a trade association made up of about 800 companies serving Toronto's visitor market. Tourism Toronto offers a range of services to individual travelers, travel agents and tour operators, meeting/trade show/incentive planners, and the media, worldwide.
