PORTSMOUTH, N. H. (April 12, 1999)  Newmarket International, Inc. announced today that it will showcase two new enterprise-level automation products at HITEC (Hospitality Information Technology Exhibition and Conference), the industry's premier technology trade show, to be held in Atlanta in June.
Newmarket, whose Delphi software program has been an industry standard for more than a decade, will introduce Delphi Multi-Property Edition (Delphi MPE), and Global SFA 7.2, which allow hotel corporations to extend the efficiency and reach of their networked applications to increase sales at the regional and global levels. Delphi MPE is a powerful, yet easy-to-use Windows-based application that provides up-to-the-second availability and function and guest room detail information for every property in a hotel system, such as a regional sales office or hotel complex where one staff sells space at several different properties. "Salespeople today often have much more available space to sell, but usually lack the details needed to book business the first time a customer calls," said Charles Hoppensteadt, Newmarket's director of business development. "Our products seek to put that crucial information on a salesperson's screen immediately, so that hotels book the most profitable business more quickly and more often." Global SFA 7.2 is designed to link regional and global sales offices together to facilitate the immediate routing of leads and account information to the appropriate locations. Among the new features in this major upgrade are replicated data, DCOM architecture, and remote Internet access. Both Delphi MPE and Global SFA 7.2 are engineered to be compatible with Microsoft's Back Office suite, including MS SQL Server 7.0, Terminal Server, and Transaction Server. The two programs also seamlessly integrate Microsoft's business applications, including Word and Excel.
