Minneapolis, MN -- Stakis Hotels announced that it has commenced a project for the rollout of the IDeaS Yield Management Solution throughout its UK hotels, to be completed by December 2000. The yield management solution was initially installed and proven at the Stakis St. Ermin's Hotel, Caxton St., London. The impact of the system was a 6.5% improvement in RevPar (Revenue Per Available Room). The increment to RevPar was verified through the IDeaS yield management measurement system and was accepted by the Stakis Board and Management of the St. Ermin's Hotel. "At St. Ermin's, we found the IDeaS solution provided incremental value, both financial and operational," said Anthony Harris, Managing Director, Stakis Hotels. "After quantifying the results of the measured revenue increases, especially during a period of decreasing transient demand, we saw how the solution delivers benefits and has made a positive impact on our business. "Proof of the solution's performance strongly contributed to our decision to implement the system in the majority of our properties in less than 2 years," said Harris. Each booking is optimized for market mix, length-of-stay and rate, therefore revenues quickly improve. The increment is achieved through automated controls, which ensure that the right product is sold to the right customer, at the right time, at the right price.
