Newmarket Begins QA Testing of Global Enterprise Sales Automation Software, Global SFA 7.2; Hospitality Sales Leader On Schedule for November Release

PORTSMOUTH, N.H./ Newmarket International Inc., which pioneered hotel sales and catering software with its 1985 release of Delphi, took another step towards delivering the hospitality industry's first global sales, marketing, and catering automation solution when its Global SFA 7.2 went to Quality Assurance for testing early last week.

The product, a major upgrade of Global SFA 7.0, is engineered to incorporate the data mining power of Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and includes significant improvements, including: replicated data, DCOM architecture, and remote Internet access. Global SFA 7.2 supports up to 2000 concurrent users with all data requests filled in less than 2 seconds.

Newmarket begins beta testing in July, with a launch date for Global SFA 7.2 in November.

The handoff marks the start of an ambitious Quality Assurance phase that will include scalability testing using Microsoft software and Compaq Computer hardware. Other key testing areas include bandwidth requirements, CPU utilization, and replication architecture scalability.
