The Cornell University School of Hotel Administration's Professional Development Program has announced its first ever Master Certification in Hospitality Leadership. The Master Certification is a cross-disciplinary course of study covering the management topics essential for leading a successful hospitality operation. "The new Master Certification in Hospitality Leadership recognizes executives who have made a commitment to improving their knowledge and their performance to very high levels. Hospitality executives who complete this certification have delved deeply into a broad range of management topics and are prepared at the highest level to be leaders in their organizations," said Thomas Kline, Executive Director of the Office of Executive Education. Participants who complete the Master Certification will have attended courses in leadership, strategy, finance, marketing, human resources, foodservice, and revenue management. The Master Certification, which requires completion of 12 classroom courses, is intended as a course of study for managers who wish to gain the knowledge and skills needed to advance to the highest levels in hotel management. Participants who have already taken PDP courses may have the opportunity to apply them to the Master Certification. The Professional Development Program is a series of three-day courses offering sophisticated, executive-level education in hospitality management. Each year more than 200 hospitality professionals from around the world gather to equip themselves with the tools and information necessary to bring their hospitality careers to the next level. The Professional Development Program will be held June 23-July 5, 2014, on the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY, USA. About the Office of Executive Education
