Hospitality Technology Next Generation's (HTNG's) annual elections introduce qualified representatives to serve on its Vendor Advisory Council and two elected co-chairs to lead the council and join HTNG's Executive Leadership Group (ELG) (formerly HTNG's Board of Governors). HTNG's Vendor Advisory Council provides a platform to gather cutting-edge technology vendors to tackle critical technology needs and concerns within the hospitality industry, and ensure HTNG is devoting efforts to these needs. The Vendor Advisory Council contributes thought leadership and develops solution-oriented concepts to shape technology priorities within the hospitality industry. There were 25 candidates nominated for this year's available positions. These representatives were all nominated and elected by the vendor community and consultants. The new and re-elected members joining HTNG's Vendor Advisory Council are: In addition to the Vendor Advisory Council's annual elections, the group held leadership elections selecting Jeff Bzdawka of Knowland and Luis Segredo of Data Travel, LLC as co-chairs, who will also serve on the ELG. "The voice of the vendor community has always been critical in shaping HTNG's mission, and we cannot thank our council representatives enough for their constant support and guidance," said Michael Blake, SVP and CTO of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). Currently more than 400 corporate and individual members from across this spectrum, including world leading hospitality companies and technology vendors, are active HTNG participants. HTNG's Board of Governors, consisting of 22 top IT leaders from hospitality companies around the world, itself has technology responsible for over 3 million guest rooms and world-leading venues. HTNG publishes workgroup proceedings, drafts and specifications for all HTNG members as soon as they are created, encouraging rapid and broad adoption. HTNG releases specifications into the public domain as soon as they are ratified by the workgroups.
