Building on its new approach of delivering industry leading technology solutions to its franchisees through the use of third party strategic partners, Wyndham Hotel Group-the world's largest hotel company and one of three hospitality business units of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN)-today announced plans to deploy a new, automated, Software-as-a-Service, revenue management system from Infor across more than 4,500 of its franchised hotels within the U.S. and Canada.
Unveiled at Wyndham Hotel Group's 2015 Global Conference in Las Vegas-and leveraging the previously announced strategic partnership with Sabre Corporation-the multi-year agreement with business application developer Infor gives Wyndham Hotel Group franchisees using Sabre's SynXis Property Manager a direct connection to the Infor EzLITE revenue management system. "In just the last six months, we've gone through a significant change in how we at Wyndham Hotel Group approach deploying technology that our franchisees need to be successful," said Gabrielle Wolfson, senior vice president and chief information officer at Wyndham Hotel Group. "The world of technology is evolving at a rapid pace and we need to enable our franchisees to keep up." Added Keith Pierce, executive vice president, global systems operations support at Wyndham Hotel Group, "Through collaboration with leading technology companies like Infor, Sabre and others, we are now in a position to more quickly deploy and upgrade revenue generation and property management solutions by combining best-in-class offerings that are more effective, more efficient, more current, and delivered at a lower cost to our franchisees." "On any given day, each one of our hotel owners have the opportunity to make more than 8,000 decisions related to revenue management," said Kathy Maher, senior vice president, revenue management at Wyndham Hotel Group. "For smaller hotels with limited staff, finding the time and resources to manage all of the nuances of a revenue management function presents a significant challenge. Through an autopilot feature in the new system, across 4,500 hotels, our EzLITE powered solution will allow us to make an estimated 15 billion pricing decisions per month, enabling our owners to focus on what matters most: servicing guests." The company further announced at its conference two other new partnerships that go hand in hand with Sabre's SynXis Property Manager and Infor's EzLITE revenue management system:
Among its main features, Infor EzLITE simplifies the process of revenue management by automatically analyzing each hotel's booking data on a daily basis, recognizing trends and patterns, and providing each property owner with recommendations on how and when rates should be modified to help optimize the hotel's demand.
Currently operating under the second of a three-stage pilot program at select hotels domestically, the full roll-out of both the Infor EzLITE revenue management system and the SynXis Property Manager to approximately 4,500 economy and midscale properties within the Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio is expected to begin this summer, with a target completion date of late 2016.
