CHICAGO (June 18, 2013) – Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), the membership association that unites the world's hospitality companies and technology innovators to solve industry challenges, has announced agenda and speaker details for its fifth annual Asia-Pacific Conference, in Hong Kong 23-25 July 2013. The event is open to all hoteliers for a nominal fee, and also to vendors and consultants who are HTNG members. Immediately following this year's conference, on the afternoon of 25 July, HTNG will facilitate its annual Hotel IT Leaders' Roundtable. This exclusive and free collaborative event is available to qualified hotel IT executives only, who share experiences and perspectives on the greatest challenges facing their IT teams. An annual event planned by hospitality technologists for hospitality technologists, HTNG's conference provides unmatched forward-thinking sessions featuring top technology minds, to help hotels better meet the technology needs of guests and staff, while reducing deployment risk and cost. This year for the first time, HTNG is working closely with the China Hospitality Technology Alliance (CHTA), with whom HTNG recently announced a partnership. A recurring theme throughout this year's program will be the "crossover" between Chinese and Western markets, including the rapid growth in outbound travel from China, the move of Chinese hotel companies into the West, and efforts by both Western and Chinese technology companies to expand into each other's markets. A panel session entitled Crossing the Great Wall will answer the key question: what can hotel technologists from China and the West learn from each other? A summary of additional confirmed sessions for this year follows:
Some of the speakers already confirmed for this conference include:
Attendees will benefit not only from the knowledge of these experts, but from the conference's many networking opportunities with other attendees from the region and from around the world. CIOs, IT Directors, senior vendor staff and consultants dominate the attendee mix, and the sessions are geared toward a strategic, business focus on technology.
Additional Opportunity for Senior Level Hotel Technologists: Hotel CIOs, IT Directors, regional heads and equivalent-level technologists are also eligible to participate in a subsequent meeting – the Hotel IT Leaders' Roundtable. This afternoon-long, hotelier-only session will have an agenda determined by the attendees based on the challenges they face. Details about this no-cost meeting can be found on HTNG's website.
Registration Information: Fully enrolled members of HTNG can register online. Others, including non-members and employees of corporate members, can choose the appropriate registration path on the conference registration page. Important note: for many attendees, the registration rate increases on 22 June, but individuals and companies who join HTNG to attend can still receive the early registration rate by booking within 30 days of joining.
Sponsorship/Exhibiting Information: Sponsorships and tabletop exhibits are still available for vendors who wish to promote their products and services to the most senior level audience at any similar show in the region. Details are in a downloadable brochure on the conference's sponsorship page.
