Guestline Partners with Chateau Impney to Restore Historic Property to Former Glory

Shrewsbury, UK – 18th October 2012 – Guestline has been selected as Chateau Impney Hotel's technology vendor of choice, and the implementation of its hotel management technology will support the property's strategic push for modernisation.

The Chateau Impney Hotel, built in 1875 and situated in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, has chosen Guestline to implement a portfolio of hotel management solutions to provide more control, smoother operations and up-to-date technology within the management of the property. The combination of Guestline solutions offers the hotel a collaborative platform that will automate its management systems, ensuring increased staff productivity, streamlined workflows and greater operational visibility - all helping the historic property to reclaim its front-runner position amongst its competitive set.

Known for its colourful history which includes a millionaire with the moniker 'The Salt King', his unhappy Parisian wife, and a Rock 'n' Roll festival during the 1960's featuring some of the decade's most defining acts; the French chateau-styled hotel was acquired by Greyfort Properties in July, with the ultimate goal of restoring the iconic building to its former glory as a high-end, luxury hotel.

With cutting-edge technology a key component for the restoration strategy to succeed, the Chateau Impney will be equipped with the Guestline Web-based Property Management System (PMS), incorporating functions such as Conference and Banqueting, Business Analysis Reporting, Sales Ledger and Rate Management.

Chateau Impney Hotel's previous Disk Operating based system had limited functionality and left the management team with little control over the hotel. Ben Elder, General Manager at the Chateau Impney Hotel, said: "We needed more flexibility throughout the management process of the hotel. Using one centralised, web-based solution allows us to access the systems anywhere in the world, at any time. This not only eliminates the need for an onsite server and the maintenance that comes with it, but gives us more visibility and control over all operations of the hotel."

The Chateau Impney Hotel will also install the Guestline Online Booking Module, the Guestline EPOS, the Guestline PCI (Payment Card Industry)- DSS Compliance solution, as well as the Guestline Distribution Channel Manager, a solution to maximise the yield potential of room stock by offering real time availability to all online sales channels.
