G1 Group plc Prepares for Further Expansion with MICROS

MICROS Systems, Inc.(NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce thatG1 Group plc, a leading leisure operator in Scotland, has selected MICROS as its technology partner for its estate of restaurants, bars, clubs, cinemas and hotels. All 40 of the G1 outlets will implement MICROS RES, MICROS Materials Control, MICROS Enterprise Management, MICROS XBR Loss Prevention, and rugged MICROS point-of-sale hardware. The G1 hotels will implement MICROS OPERA, with its largest sites utilizing Mobile MICROS.
To manage the various operating environments within the G1 estate, MICROS RES provides a complete, robust and dependable point-of-service solution that adapts to different types of restaurants, including table service, quick service, hotel food service and nightclubs. Mobile MICROS will provide G1 maximum speed of service and full support for integrated Chip & PIN payment.
Above-store, an integrated suite of MICROS technologies provides managers at G1 with improved visibility and control of day-to-day operations. MICROS Materials Control allows more efficient management of all inventory items within the business, from food to hotel linens. MICROS Enterprise Management supports the centralized configuration and management of product and pricing across the estate, while business intelligence is optimized with the web-based mymicros.net solution. To complete the offering, MICROS XBR provides an estate-wide loss prevention system to analyze employee trends and maximize profitability.
The group"s expanding hotel portfolio will implement MICROS OPERA, the world"s most popular property management system. OPERA will provide G1 Group with a single, centralized system for managing room reservations and conference and banquet facilities throughout its entire portfolio.
