Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading developer and marketer of proprietary enterprise software, services and solutions to the hospitality and retail industries, today announced the promotion of Tony Ross to Vice President Sales for the Hospitality Solutions Group ("HSG"), effective immediately. In his most recent assignment as regional sales director for Agilysys HSG, a position Ross has held since 2006, he has performed regional and vertical director role responsibilities. In his new position as Vice President Sales, Ross' primary responsibilities are to drive North American sales by developing and managing account executives, fostering and cultivating customer relationships and managing North American go-to-market strategy. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer James H. Dennedy. "Tony's expertise in and broad exposure to our markets and customers, combined with a history of developing sales talent and customer relationships, uniquely qualify him for this assignment," commented Dennedy. "We congratulate Tony on his well-deserved promotion." Ross joined Inter-American Data, Inc. (IAD), in 1993, where he served in various sales roles, including IBM Midrange system sales, and in 1999, transitioned to hospitality solution software sales until IAD was acquired by Agilysys in 2004. Before that, Ross was production area lead for Micromeritics Instrument Corporation from 1984 to 1988, when he joined Rockwell International Missile Systems Division as area group coordinator in circuit board assembly and missile system production. Ross attended Valdosta State University, where he was a business major.
