Stowe, VT | PAR Springer-Miller Systems, Inc. (PSMS) --- a wholly owned subsidiary of PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE:PAR) and the leading provider of guest-centric hospitality management systems -- demonstrated its continued support for Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) by becoming a Benefactor-level member of the organization. HTNG is a global trade association that fosters, through collaboration and partnership among hoteliers and technology providers, the development of next generation systems. A strong supporter of HTNG since its inception in 2003, PAR Springer-Miller remains an active participant in a number of HTNG Workgroups and incorporates the HTNG standards in a variety of their products and services. As a Benefactor member of the organization, executives from PAR Springer-Miller recently conducted a three-hour dialogue with the HTNG Board of Directors at the 2011 North American Member's Meeting in San Diego, California. During this session, PAR Springer-Miller listened carefully to the comments, observations, and suggestions voiced by the board members and previewed their ATRIOâ„¢ hospitality technology platform. The executives from PAR Springer-Miller presented their vision for hospitality technology that incorporated contemporary technologies, true cloud-computing, an enterprise service bus, and a highly innovative user experience. "HTNG's initiatives align extremely well with our vision for integration, feature velocity, and purpose-built cloud-based applications in the hospitality technology market," commented Larry Hall, President & CEO of PAR Springer-Miller. "Our Benefactor-level membership demonstrates our commitment to the organization and support for the essential contribution HTNG makes to the global hospitality industry. We appreciated the opportunity to learn from the HTNG board and share our vision of the future."
Membership in HTNG is open to hotel and hospitality companies, technology vendors to hospitality, consultants, academics, press and others. Currently, more than 400 corporate and individual members from across this spectrum, including most of the world's leading hotel companies and technology vendors, are active HTNG participants. HTNG's hotelier members represent more that 4.3 millions guest rooms worldwide. Workgroup proceedings, drafts, and specifications are published for all HTNG members as soon as they are created, encouraging rapid and broad adoption. Specifications are released to the public domain as they are ratified by the workgroup. For more information, visit
