Magued Malek, branch manager of German protel hotelsoftware GmbH in the United Arab Emirates, is very pleased to announce the conclusion of a significant business transaction with Auris. The hotel management group will operate their hotels and hotel apartments with protel MPE, protel's multi property edition, starting this June with 286-rooms hotel "Al Nawras". The announcement highlighted protel's appearance at this year's Arabian Travel Market, ATM, in Dubai City. For the fourth time protel attended the Middle East's premier travel and tourism event at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. Speaking with many trade visitors, hoteliers and hotel managers, Magued Malek detected one recurrent key issue: All of them were looking for a more flexible, more expandable software solution for their houses. For Auris as well, the outstanding adaptability of protel property management solutions was crucial to their decision; hotel directors and managers of the group showed themselves pleased with the selection of protel MPE. The first hotel to be switched to protel is the "Al Nawras" with 286 rooms and apartments; four other properties will follow until the end of 2010. All hotels will be managed with protel's Multi Property Edition, protel MPE. Using a central database, all connected hotels will access the same guest information; data and functions will be available in real time at every property. protel MPE offers reservation, marketing and reporting in one package and helps control all activities, revenues and reports across the entire organization. This, and the broad range of possibilities for centrally managed online distribution, eventually tipped the scales for protel. Auris is a young company that aims high: Until the end of 2010 the group targets ten operational hotels in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Following the slogan "Freedom of choice" they will then cover a broad range of divers high-standard products featuring 5 star luxury hotels as well as apart' hotels and resorts. Auris mainly operates hotels and apartments under management contracts, but will exceptionally operate as franchisor or on lease basis.
