Accor Hospitality Simplifies Travel Agency Shopping with Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ Direct Connectivity

One of Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ largest participating companies in Europe, Accor Hospitality with over 4,000 properties, has upgraded to the Sabre Global Distribution System’s Direct Connect XML (DCX) direct connect booking platform. As an additional benefit of DCX, Accor Hospitality has upgraded the RT chain code to enable Sabre agents to obtain the most current rates and availability directly from the Accor Central Reservation System (CRS) at the time of the shopping request. This simplifies the shopping process for travel agents and secures instantaneous updates of the Accor inventory. The switch to DCX was successfully completed in January 2010 and makes Accor the first European hotel chain to take advantage of this new Sabre Hospitality Solutions interface which uses XML technology.
