Reston, Va. Siteworx, Inc., in partnership with Sabre Hospitality Solutions, today announced the successful launch of an interactive mobile Web site for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group that offers convenient booking options for travelers on-the-go. The user-friendly interface provides helpful navigation tools for viewing and booking at each of the renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's properties. Specifically developed with the ever-changing needs of the consumer in mind, the mobile Web site is available to view across a variety of touch screen and keypad handheld phones. To bring Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's mobile site to life, Siteworx provided a customized feature-rich mobile Web site with a sleek design attuned to the personalized luxury needs of the Group's affluent clientele. Siteworx also fully integrated a booking engine provided by Sabre Hospitality Solutions, which allows users to book and manage their room or suite, spa and/or dining reservations. The mobile booking engine is also integrated to Mandarin Oriental's central reservation system (CRS) which means rates, availability and content are easily managed via the same control center as all other distribution channels. "Consumer focused companies, such as Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, have shown an overwhelming demand for flexibility in communicating with customers across all channels—including Web and mobile," said Tim McLaughlin, president of Siteworx, Inc. "We are thrilled about helping Mandarin Oriental expand its market reach by extending the SDL Tridion Web content management (WCM) system to meet its mobile publishing needs." Added Christoph Oberli, vice president of e-commerce at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group: "Mandarin Oriental is renowned for providing guest centric technology throughout all of its properties worldwide, and we are delighted to be able to extend this facility in order to bring this condensed and straightforward version of our award-winning Web site to travelers on the move." At present, the mobile Web site and booking engine are compatible with touch screen devices like the iPhone and Droid as well as keypad handhelds such as Blackberry and Nokia E71. Key features include the ability to make and/or change reservations, view hotels and amenities, and find the nearest hotel location using a GPS locator. In addition, the site also has a 'read me later' function that allows users to switch back and forth between their mobile device and desktop. "Mandarin Oriental has fully embraced the use of the Internet as a viable communication and distribution tool. Adding the mobile component to their strategy is a perfect fit and will expand their reach," commented Paolo Torchio, vice president of E-marketing and Revenue Consulting for Sabre Hospitality Solutions. "The implementation of our mobile booking engine is a seamless process but gives Mandarin Oriental unique merchandising opportunities, such as promotions and special rates, targeted specifically to mobile users."
