Xn Hotel Systems to implement protel PMS across the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio
1 March 2010

"Limited Edition" usually implies something extraordinary and rare which offers something better, more exclusive and more desirable... well, that's exactly what Virgin Limited Edition does!

The luxury portfolio of Virgin Hotels Group Ltd, Virgin Limited Edition is Sir Richard Branson's collection of stunning retreats. It includes a private island, mountain retreat, game reserve, villa, catamaran, lodge, restaurant, and a private members club. Eclectic, yes, but all are unique and operate with the sole aim of creating amazing experiences.

After a lengthy evaluation of the leading global systems, protel was chosen by Virgin Limited Edition’s London-based management team. Central to the decision were the profile management features of the system and the references obtained from existing protel users in the luxury sector.

The agreement includes hosting services to provide a centralised, multi-property solution. However, remote properties with more challenging communications infrastructures will have the added comfort of a local server, which will synchronise data to the central protel system.

The system will go live across the group in March 2010.
