PARIS | Global hospitality security leader VingCard Elsafe reports that the price to purchase new electronic locks and in-room safes in 2009 will rise by 8%. The company attributes the increase to several factors, including: the upsurge in price of raw materials, general economic trend, and costs of transportation. The 8% price increase will go into effect January 1, 2009. “It’s business as usual at VingCard Elsafe – and part of our business model includes remaining competitive while helping to protect our customers’ assets through new technology development,” said Tim Shea, President of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality. “VingCard Elsafe is committed to staying the leader in hospitality security by designing advanced security solutions that protect hotel assets and guests’ valuables. “This price increase is balanced by VingCard Elsafe’s global promise to diligently develop new and in-demand products while offering the reliable, secure, and quality-driven security solutions the company is known for around the world.”
