Visa, in collaboration with MasterCard, has incorporated these Card Information Security Program (CISP) standards into an industry-wide approach known as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. The standard applies to credit card merchants, service providers and payment applications.

To meet Visa’s new validation guidelines, PAR Springer-Miller employed an independent, Visa-qualified security assessor to perform a thorough inspection of SMS|Host’s payment processing environment. The audit included an intensive review of the process by which sensitive information is classified, accessed and stored, an analysis of network and system architecture, a complete assessment of IT policies and procedures, documentation and employee interviews.

PAR Springer-Miller’s SMS|Host is one of only a very small number of property management systems to receive PABP validation.
