(Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, based in Glattbrugg, Switzerland, has included MICROS-Fidelio as preferred IT vendor for its 80 hotels and resorts in 25 countries. MICROS-Fidelio will provide hospitality IT solutions, including OPERA Property Management System (PMS) and OPERA Sales and Catering (S&C).

With plans to expand its portfolio to include 100 hotels by 2010, the international hotel group is continuing to leverage technology that will support its growth objectives. MICROS's fully integrated solution offers Mövenpick the technology tools to help bring its plan to fruition. OPERA PMS provides Mövenpick with powerful tools to handle reservations, check guests in and out, assign rooms, and manage room inventory. The application also assists with accommodation of in-house guest needs, and administration of accounting and billing. Due to the integration with OPERA PMS, OPERA S&C frees Mövenpick's sales and catering staff from dependency on other departments to complete key tasks.
