Lodgeworks, L.P. Chooses SynXis As Their Distribution Partner
Management company to fuel expansion using RedX® as their single image of inventory
13 June 2007

SOUTHLAKE, Texas | SynXis, the Sabre Holdings business that provides hotel distribution, technology and internet marketing services globally, announced today that LodgeWorks, L.P. has selected the RedX Distribution Management System as its single distribution platform for its growing Sierra Suites Hotel brand that includes six properties and plans to add four more by the end of this year. LodgeWorks is also in the midst of exciting growth with a soon-to-launch luxury boutique collection which will also use RedX. With this aggressive expansion plan, LodgeWorks needed a distribution partner that could be flexible enough to meet their changing needs and experienced enough to help launch a new brand. The management company chose SynXis because of the RedX technology, SynXis’ understanding of and success with mid-sized chains, and the SynXis integration products which differentiate SynXis in the marketplace.

Reservations from all channels, including the Global Distribution Systems, third party travel sites, LodgeWork’s call centers and own websites, will go directly into the RedX Control Center. The RedX Property Connect product will then synchronize RedX with LodgeWorks’ proprietary Property Management System (PMS) at each individual property. The integration between the two systems will give LodgeWorks a true single image of inventory. This dynamic view will enable their Centralized Revenue Management team to deploy revenue and channel management strategies quickly and efficiently to react to changes in the marketplace for all hotels.

“SynXis stood out among the competition not only for their technology and integration tools but for their willingness to meet some of our very specific needs as a management company,” said Cheryl Doll, Vice President of Marketing and Distribution for LodgeWorks. “Their ability to work with us to address all reservation types and guest payment scenarios was particularly impressive and we are confident that we selected the right partner.”

“SynXis’ philosophy is to let the customer find the best-of-breed solutions that work for them and to let our integration products make the systems work together, seamlessly,” said David Meltzer, vice president of sales for SynXis. “LodgeWorks is well known in the industry as an innovative management company, especially when it comes to property systems and technology. Their decision to switch to SynXis validates our strategic direction and we look forward to playing an important part in LodgeWork’s exciting growth plans.”

SynXis products and services enable hotels to maximize revenue and reduce costs through innovative technology combined with reliable and proven support. RedX, at the solution’s core, is a web-based distribution management system that enables property managers to distribute their inventory across all channels easily and efficiently. It provides connectivity to the GDSs, third party travel site and directly to guests via the website booking engine. This fall SynXis will release a new booking engine, Guest ConnectSM, which has been developed after more than a year of market research, customer feedback and usability testing. SynXis also provides complementary services such as Revenue Management consulting, GDS and Travel Agent Marketing Programs and a full service private-label call center.
