FREDERICK, MD | Visual One Systems Corporation, a supplier of management software to the hospitality industry since 1977, held its 2006 User’s Conference at the exclusive Barton Creek Resort in Austin, TX from September 11 to 15, 2006. Almost 250 attendees from hotels, resorts, and conference centers around the world contributed to V1’s largest conference ever.
V1’s upgraded yield management system was met with applause. New features include length-of-stay rules, days-in-advance rules, and also yield by room type. V1 also introduced its new web page interface that permits webmasters to add dot-net “controls” to a hotel’s website, thus allowing the hotel to create a custom user-interface. In addition, the reservation process remains “inside” the hotel’s website so that the guest doesn’t exit the hotel’s web page. A full slate of seminars and “open” sessions were held with topics including:
