TWELVE(SM) Hotels and Residences Selects MICROS OPERA Enterprise Multi-property Solution as Technology Platform
14 June 2006

Columbia, MD | MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Atlanta hotel TWELVE Atlantic Station has deployed MICROS OPERA Property Management System (PMS), OPERA Sales & Catering (S&C), OPERA Vision, and OPERA Web Services (OWS) and will soon deploy the OPERA Revenue Management System.

TWELVE Atlantic Station is the first development of TWELVE Hotels and Residences, a new hotel brand from Novare Group, developers of high-rise residential communities in urban markets. TWELVE Atlantic Station was recently selected for inclusion in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2006 Hot List of the world’s trendiest and hottest hotels. TWELVE Hotels and Residences will open its second property, TWELVE Centennial Park, in the Centennial Park district near downtown Atlanta in mid 2007. The company announced plans earlier this year to develop a TWELVE Hotel and Residences in Charlotte and expects to develop additional projects in Atlanta and other markets. TWELVE Hotels and Residences has selected OPERA Multi-property as the technology platform for its estate.

“We are very impressed with the customization we have achieved using OPERA Web Services with our website,” stated Daniel Bassett, CIO, TWELVE Hotels and Residences. “It is important that our website retain its own unique look and feel and yet offer seamless integration with our OPERA Reservation System for online reservations.”

“We intend to centrally host OPERA in a multi-property configuration,” continued Bassett. “MICROS’s leadership in the hospitality industry and its focus on development were key factors in TWELVE Hotels and Residences’ evaluation process.”

“TWELVE Hotels and Residences is a high-tech organization focused on customer-centric solutions that can be molded to its particular needs,” stated Laura Kirby, Vice President, Independent Hotels. “OPERA easily integrated to GHOST (Guest Hotel Operating System Terminal), developed exclusively by TWELVE Hotels and Residences, which gives guests access to a wide range of services and information such as ordering room service, making specific housekeeping requests, or contacting the concierge.

Kirby continued, “TWELVE Hotels and Residences requires scalability, flexibility, and development attention as it grows and MICROS is positioned to address those needs very well.”
