Carlson Hotels Worldwide Selects the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution as Cornerstone for Its Harmony Plus Technology Platform

COLUMBIA, Md. -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Carlson Hotels Worldwide will continue and expand its long-standing partnership with MICROS by selecting the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution to power the property management functionality of Harmony Plus, Carlson's technology platform for its global hotel brands -- Regent International Hotels, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, and Park Inn.

The full OPERA system will be used in Carlson's three full service brands, Regent, Radisson, and Park Plaza, and a simpler, scaled down version called OPERA Xpress will be used by Carlson's select service brands, Country Inns & Suites and Park Inn. Carlson is currently rolling out Harmony Plus to its new hotels, and all existing hotels will convert to Harmony Plus by the end of 2007.
