COLUMBIA, Md., MICROS Systems, Inc. Protea Hotels will pilot the implementation process in the Protea Hotel Waterfront, Protea Hotel Midrand, Protea Hotel Victoria Junction, Protea Hotel Sea Point, Protea Hotel Kruger Gate, Protea Hotel Edward Durban, Protea Hotel Wanderers, and Melrose Arch Hotel.

The MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution will enhance Protea's long-term vision of establishing and increasing the lifetime value of its guests. This will be achieved through centralized guest profiling, allowing the group to become more guest focused and therefore practice true Customer Relationship Marketing. In addition inventory (rooms) will be centralized enabling a real- time view of the inventory status. "This in essence will enhance room management and, of course, aid in optimizing revenue," explained Bryan Mulliner, Group Revenue Manager. "We expect to implement this new system within the majority of our properties by the end of 2006."
