COLUMBIA, Md. | MICROS Systems, Inc. Over 750 IHG Hotels have been installed worldwide including 29 in Latin America, 122 in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and 110 in Asia Pacific. InterContinental Hotels Group flags properties under the names InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites.

MICROS OPERA and MICROS OPERAXpress software were chosen by IHG as one of its preferred PMS solutions. An aggressive rollout commenced in January 2004. OPERA and OPERAXpress are being rolled-out in conjunction with HIRO, IHG's revenue management system. Both OPERA products offer tight integration to HIRO and Holidex, IHG's central reservations system. Numerous hotels have opted to install the OPERA Enterprise solution adding additional modules such as Sales and Catering. In addition, IHG will beta test the MICROS OPERA kiosk module at the highly anticipated Hotel Indigo opening in Atlanta in the fall of 2004.

"We have been extremely impressed with the smooth and efficient roll-out of OPERA to the IHG portfolio of hotels," stated Angela Brav, Senior Vice President, Applied Technology for InterContinental Hotels Group. "OPERA has proven its scalability across all of our brands including limited service, full service and extended stay. MICROS has been a true partner in this aggressive technology initiative."

"MICROS is committed to our broad-reaching partnership with IHG and the success of this initiative," stated Robin Layman, Vice President, IHG Business Unit for MICROS. "We brought together a team of over 100 first rate resources dedicated to this roll-out effort. This infrastructure allows MICROS to take over 70 hotels live each month, providing superior training and support for the hotels, ensuring a smooth transition."
