SynXis Debuts Its Next Generation Reservation System At HITEC 2004 In Dallas
Web-based, modular system includes a first-of-its-kind Dashboard
16 June 2004

MCLEAN, VA |SynXis, a leading provider of reservation services and technology for the hospitality industry, has given its current reservation platform a whole new look and feel. This next generation of their already widely used reservation management system is anticipated, by hotel managers, to be the new standard in reservation technology.

Over the last several months the SynXis developers have been working on merging the existing SynXis platform with the hubX platform to deliver a system to their customers and the industry which will be rich in features, easy-to-use and include the most current tools available for managing all electronic distribution channels.

Additional attractions include the SynXis Dashboard and the One Page Booking Engine. The SynXis Dashboard will truly give hotel managers one place to view all relevant reservation data needed to react quickly to market changes. Competitive rates along with the hotel booking pace will be included in the Dashboard display. Managers will then have the ability, from the same screen, to update rates and availability, to all distribution channels (including extranets), based on the intelligence they’re given. Included in the Dashboard is a Dynamic Yielding Tool, which enables a hotel to set up rules-based rate and inventory triggers.

The One Page Booking Engine is an advanced website booking engine using animated “Flash” technology for a unique user experience. Hotel availability is displayed on easy-to-view calendars to eliminate multiple guest queries. Other unique features include: the ability to up-sell guests by displaying multiple room types and rate plans, optional customer profiles for repeat guests and the ability to book travel agent, promotional and package rates from the same booking engine. In addition, this innovative technology can be used for hotel groups to sell a destination or multiple properties.

“We are pleased to be able to introduce innovations that the marketplace has asked for”, said Jim Kelly, president and CEO of SynXis. “The recent combination of hubX and SynXis made it possible to deliver this next generation of reservation management solutions in time for this year's HITEC. We intend to use our highly skilled team to continue creating applications that help hotels and chains apply technology in the most productive, cost-effective manner.”
