Mandarin Oriental New York selects security and access products from multiple ASSA ABLOY brands

As part of the towering multi-use AOL Time Warner Center project, the Mandarin Oriental New York debuted in November 2003 as the company's latest addition to an impressive international property portfolio. The hotel includes 251 superbly-appointed guestrooms and suites located on floors 38 through 54, with sweeping panoramas of the Manhattan skyline and Central Park. These luxury guestrooms are equipped with Elsafe's Infinity™ Digital safes and secured with the TimeLox® DC-One IR5 OnLine Locking Solution. The same TimeLox locking system also integrates peripheral and back-of-house doors at the property. A complete door hardware package by Yale Security Group completes the access management solution. That package includes Corbin Russwin levers, adapted to the TimeLox locksets, mortise locks, Norton 8500 closers and Rixson OH holders. By using proven brands from the world's leading lock group, Mandarin Oriental not only ensures the highest quality and durability, but streamlines customer service and support from ASSA ABLOY's worldwide service network.
According to John Foley, Vice President of Sales for ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Inc., the company's Asian office worked extensively with the entire project design/build team to specify the products. Several firms contributed to the selection process, including Brennan Beer Gorman Architects and Related Properties, the owner/developer.

Installation of a similar ASSA ABLOY product package is also underway at the newest Mandarin Oriental property in Washington D.C., scheduled to open in mid-March.
