JRK Hospitality Group Adds Two New York Properties To The SynXis Reservation Management System
10 February 2004

McLean, VA- SynXis, a provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, announced today that JRK Hospitality Group will be adding their two new acquisitions, The Roger Williams Hotel and The Franklin Hotel, both in New York City, to the SynXis Reservation Management System for Global Distribution System (GDS) connectivity, Internet distribution and web site booking engine.

JRK, a West Coast based owner of luxury and boutique hotels, commercial and residential real estate nationwide, has two California properties (Hotel Oceana Santa Monica and Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara) already using the SynXis system to process all of their electronic reservations for the past year. Their previous provider charged based on a percentage of revenue and they found they were not satisfied with the value they were getting.

"With the growing popularity of the boutique hotel concept and the importance of the New York City market, The Roger Williams and Franklin hotels represent very exciting opportunities for us," said Seth Horowitz, Vice President and General Manager for Hotel Oceana, Santa Monica. "When we made the acquisitions, moving the hotels to the proven SynXis technology was an easy decision."

The SynXis reservation system will allow all four properties to make real-time rate and availability changes for the properties from any location with Internet access. This direct control allows the hotels to quickly react to market changes. SynXis's online booking engine, Book-A-Rez®, allows the properties to offer special promotions to a targeted group and easily track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

"The two Oceana properties have really taken full advantage of what our system has to offer in order to help increase revenues" said Phil Saims, Managing Director for SynXis. "Being awarded these two very important contracts tells us that JRK believes in our products and services and is committed to a true partnership where everyone benefits."

The Roger Williams is a stylish, 187 room hotel located in the fashionable Murray Hill area of midtown. It is a short walk to The Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, and The Pierpont Morgan Library. The Franklin is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the exclusive Upper East Side of Manhattan. It is close walk to Museum mile, Central Park, and fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
