Visual One Systems (Europe) are delighted to announce the signing of a contract to supply systems to the new Zetter Hotel in London, which opens early in 2004.

The Zetter defines itself as "a great new 90 cover Italian restaurant with bedrooms above. A modern and sustainable design in an old London warehouse incorporating the latest IT /AV features for the modern traveller - all at affordable rates."

Partly inspired by the design, attitude and affordability of The Ace in Seattle, The Standard in LA and avant-garde Australian Hotels, The Zetters image will be a funky, humorous combination of old and new furniture, hints of colour, innovative wallpapered backdrop against a more sober colour scheme. The attitude is relaxed, real with a personal and approachable style of service.

Visual One has been chosen to supply the PMS, Point of Sale, Web Bookings Engine, Sales Ledger, and interfaces to various other state-of-the-art technologies.

Mike Gadbury, Managing Director of Visual One said, "The Zetter is a great new innovative concept and we are delighted to be partnering with them. Visual One has been selected after a full market and product evaluation and their decision is a great endorsement for our company".

Michael Benyan one of the owners in the Zetter development said, "We selected Visual One because being new to the hotel game, we wanted to make sure the service / support & maintenance side of things was just as important to the supplier as to the client i.e. we didn't want to be just another statistic to a large company and then left high and dry when it came to support".

About the Zetter Hotel - The Zetter - restaurant & rooms is the brainchild of Michael Benyan & Mark Sainsbury, both restaurateurs by trade with a notable track record. Michael has been involved with, amongst others, The Quality Chop House, The Westbourne and Kensington Place whilst Mark has experience with the Roux Brothers and The Union Café. Both recently opened the highly acclaimed MORO restaurant in Clerkenwell.

In the summer of 2001, Urban Hotels purchased the freehold of a warehouse on Clerkenwell road, London EC1 (27k sq ft). The site looks out onto St. John's Square on two sides and is located in the heart of Clerkenwell with easy access to the City, South bank the East and West End. Work has commenced converting the building into a 90 cover ground floor restaurant, a 59-bed hotel and 2 Private Dining rooms / Meeting rooms with the opening programmed for February 2004.
