MICROS Installs Centrally Hosted 9700 Hospitality Management System at Three Park Place Casinos

, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has signed an agreement with Park Place Entertainment Corporation to upgrade Grand Tunica, Bally's Tunica and Sheraton Tunica to a centralized MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) solution. Park Place Entertainment was able to use all existing hardware and added wireless Eclipse workstations on the casino floors. The system was installed and went live in January 2003.
Each of the three Park Place Entertainment properties utilizes varying property management, credit card processing, liquor dispensing, and gaming systems. As part of the integration of the centralized point-of-sale solution for Park Place Entertainment, MICROS developed several unique interfaces, which allowed all three properties to continue use of their existing property specific systems and yet report on an enterprise level.

The Windows® 2000 based 9700 HMS offers POS anywhere, with reporting and configuration everywhere. The 9700's Remote Management Console (RMC), which includes an easy to use Configurator, an HTML-based Report Writer, and the Autosequencer, offers a simplified and remotely accessible tool to manage the business from any location.
