, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has been chosen as the preferred property management system vendor for Hyatt International, the award-winning hotel corporation with more than 85 hotel and resort properties worldwide. Hyatt International has also chosen MICROS as a preferred point-of-sale vendor. The first installation of the MICROS OPERA Property Management System has been completed at the 308-room Hyatt Regency Belgrade with an interface to Hyatt's Spirit Central Reservations System and Gold Passport loyalty program using OPERA's XML Xchange Interface, OXI. This was followed by an OPERA installation at the recently opened Grand Hyatt Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, a luxurious 680-room hotel and conference center. Subsequent OPERA installations are being planned for Hyatt International hotels in Tokyo, Incheon (Korea) and Milano.
The MICROS OPERA Property Management System is a full-featured property management system capable of handling the complex operating requirements of Hyatt International's hotel portfolio. OPERA's advanced internationally compliant functionality includes support of language, fiscal, and legal requirements. Combined with OPERA's other powerful features such as quick check-in, extensive customer profiling, advanced housekeeping, and downtime free night audit, Hyatt is able to manage to greater levels of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
