SynXis® Names Starwood Veteran As COO And Vice President Of Marketing And Sales

MCLEAN, VA, SynXis Corporation, a leading provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, announced today the appointment of former Starwood Senior Vice President, Rick Betz as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Betz will oversee all marketing and sales activities along with operations and product strategy. The announcement was made by Jim Kelly, president and CEO.

Prior to his appointment, Betz was a Senior Vice President for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. His responsibilities there included establishing Strategic Sourcing as a dynamic organization within Starwood following the merger of 750 hotels consisting of such brands as Westin, Sheraton, St. Regis, and W Hotels. Prior to that, he held various positions of increasing responsibility at Alliant Foodservice including national leadership roles in Hospitality Sales.
