The Wi-Fi ZONE Program, today announced by the Wi-Fi Alliance, was globally launched to build consumer awareness of a standard of excellence in service quality for Wi-Fi-enabled public-access availability and improve users' ability to locate Wi-Fi ZONE certified locations.

Equipment providers as well as Wi-Fi-enabled public-access locations must meet and maintain the program requirements in order to display and use the "Wi-Fi ZONE" logo.
