, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has provided two important upgrades to the comprehensive MICROS Restaurant Enterprise System 3000 installed at Bertucci's Corporation, one of the Northeast's fastest growing restaurant chains with 80 locations in 10 states. The Bertucci's concept is owned and operated by Bertucci's Corporation of Northborough, MA.
To enhance guest service and satisfaction at Bertucci's, MICROS has provided a fully integrated gift card processing solution through Value-Link. Value-Link gift cards replace traditional paper gift certificates and offer the restaurateur increased profits with upfront cash-flow. The gift card program combines card production, packaging, transaction processing, database management, reporting and help desk support, and is fully integrated with the MICROS 3700 Point-Of-Sale system. MICROS has also provided a new, network-based credit card authorization system, which Bertucci's installed in early November. This system significantly improves the speed at which Bertucci's can process payments for its guests. With MICROS network-based credit card processing, authorization times are reduced from 15 seconds to less than 5 seconds, improving Bertucci's table turn time and guest service.
