Built around the Intel Celeron and Pentium III processors, the Eclipse is one of the most powerful POS workstation available today. It supports Microsoft's most popular operating systems, and
utilizes industry standard connectivity options such as 10/100 Ethernet, USB, and PCMCIA. With 2 cash drawer ports, 2 customer displays, 6 serial ports, a parallel port, 2 USB ports, keyboard and mouse ports, and a PCMCIA slot, the Eclipse Workstation offers an incredible amount of flexibility to connect most any peripheral device. The Eclipse is also backward compatible with all of MICROS's POS peripheral devices, eliminating the need for existing customers to buy new printers, pole displays or cash drawers.
Prior to the release of Eclipse, SUBWAY(R) Restaurants installed the MICROS Model 64 PC Workstation and the Ultra PC Workstation. Many of those systems have been upgraded to Eclipse systems.
